Evergreen, Pool Party & Gold Christmas

Fresh and Fun, today’s card features the Evergreen Stamp Set with a crisp combination of Pool Party, Brushed Gold and Whisper White Card Stock.1.funkypoolpartychristmastreecard

Isn’t this fun?  It’s more of a contemporary, fresh color combo.  This card was another consignment Christmas card design creation which I designed.

LOL… had to brush off the Stamp-Ma-Jig for this one!!!  The Evergreen stamp set is a two step stamping set… first I stamped the full tree image using pool party ink and then followed up with the outline image and gumball green ink.2.stampmajigdoublestampedchristmastreeThe ink looks gold in the photo, doesn’t it?  It kind of looks gold in person too, which I thought was kind of interesting!

The sentiment was stamped last using Midnight Muse Ink and it is from the More Merry Messages stamp set.  Evergreen has a stamped image that will fit right over the tree… but I wanted a more generic sentiment for this consignment card design as it is going to a corporate client. 3.dazzlingdetailsandrhinestonejeweltreetopper

A medium rhinestone jewel tops the tree.  The stamp set also comes with a tiny star image but I didn’t want to detract from the simplicity and elegance of the tree itself4.superlayeredsnowflakebrushedgoldcs

Layers of Snow Flurry Die Cuts in Silver Glimmer and Brushed Gold were topped with a silver glimmer paper 1/2” circle punch and topped with a rhinestone jewel.

I forgot to photograph the interior of the card, which was simply stamped with “Merry Christmas” onto a 3-3/4” x 5” piece of whisper white card stock leaving ample room for a hand written note and signature.  (LOL unless they have me print the signature onto the card, we’ll see! ;)

Yesterday I was surprised to see two 5’ snow drifts at the Town Center!!  LOL… they had closed the street in front of Maggiano’s and brought in a snow blowing machine for a festive evening with entertainment and the tree lighting.

Making our way through the town center was a little tricky as people stopped, gawked, photographed and posed by the pile of dirty snow.  Made me wonder how they got it piled up there… snow plows aren’t something you see here in Jacksonville, Florida!  (And neither is snow!!)

Have a wonderful day, I look forward to reading your sweet comment!

Sharon, such a pretty card! Lovely images, and the layered snowflake looks fantastic. I wouldn't have thought of combining craft cs with glitter like that and it really is not only pretty, but sophisticated, too.

Somebody once told me to never mix gold and silver. Phooey on them!! I think the brushed gold with the silver glimmer paper is gorgeous! And using Pool Party for a holiday card is a stroke of genius -- wish I had thought of it! Really great job, Sharon!
