CAS Evergreen And A Bit Of Bling!

Today’s card is another Clean and Simple (CAS) triple stamped Evergreen Card featuring accents of ribbon, Designer Series Papers (DSP) and bling!1.anotherevergreentwostepstampincardcas

I really like this sentiment from More Merry Messages paired with the Evergreen stamp set, don’t you?  Positioning is made easier using a stamp-ma-jig tool… so the overlapping images are placed precisely where you want them… quite simple!2.triplestampingwithstampmajigandevergreen

The full tree image was stamped first using certainly celery ink, and the outline using gumball green ink.  Midnight Muse was used for the sentiment and last layer.3.beautifulrhinestonestartreetopperevergreen

Unlike yesterday’s card I did add a daffodil delight star to top the tree, and then a little bit of bling via a small rhinestone basic jewel.  The jewels are self adhesive if you remove them from the paper with the adhesive en tact… LOL if you leave the adhesive behind well, you know what happens then!4.dazzlingandglimmerbradaccentwithribbon

Neutrals Metallic Glimmer Grads in a rich chocolate color (actually Early Espresso) were added through ribbon, dsp and card stock layers.  Piercing through ribbon can be a little tricky though.  I usually have my brad ready to go after piercing the ribbon… otherwise the ribbon hole may close up.

Another tip for using glimmer brads, which seem to almost always have the legs painted shut… place the tip of your paper piercing tool in the base of the brad and break apart the legs with a sharp upward motion.  Do this before you try to put the brad into the pierced ribbon ;)

When I add brads to cards I always try to go through as many layers as possible providing extra insurance that the layers will remain en tact while providing a more flat surface on the face of the card.

Tomorrow I’ll have a new card for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge… won’t you join me and the design team this week?
