Subtleties… little changes made to tweak a card design. Today I’m sharing two versions of one card design, both quite CAS and quick to make. Appropriately just about any sentiment would work with today’s card which features an Early Espresso stamped “Thank You” from the Lacy & Lovely stamp set.
Candlelight Christmas and Champagne Glimmer Paper Designer Series Paper Packs were used on today’s card shares along with complimentary colors of Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.
This is card #2… many of the same design elements and subtle changes in materials and sentiment placement.
Do you recognize the pretty petals on the champagne glimmer blossom? They’re Snow Flurry die cut scrap! After cutting out champagne glimmer snowflakes the largest of three snowflakes left these pretty petals!
The center of the snowflake was layered with a large Brushed Bronze designer button and 1/2” circle punch of champagne glimmer scrap. After securing the button to the card using a stmapin’ dimensional, each petal was placed with the flat edge beneath the button and a dimensional at the rounded edge.
Another subtlety between the two cards… three silver brads in the upper right corner. I always put brads through as many layers on the card as possible, it helps to bury the brad prongs and lies flatter against the card base too!
Glimmer Brads was a much better option… wish I had more of these on hand, guess I need to place an order at my online stampin’ up store! :)
Thank You was stamped onto a scrap of very vanilla card stock, fussy cut to give it some interest… and then I played a bit with the placement of the sentiment.
Don’t you love these little ribbon slides? A 3/8” scrap of designer series paper fits nicely through the slide. This scrap just happens to be the reverse side/print of the green designer series paper on the card front.
LOL, not sure where I like the sentiment… which one do you prefer?
See you tomorrow with another card club share… here’s a hint… it’s got a champagne glimmer paper snowflake on it!
