Yesterday’s Senior stampers session was a blast! The ladies meet every two weeks and we have so much fun stamping and catching up too!
Today’s card is a bright and colorful happy card featuring the “for the birds” stamp set.
Each image in the stamp set is accompanied by a sentiment… this one says “thinking of you”. The bird, beak and heart were colored using stampin’ write markers.
A stretch of knotted daffodil delight stitched taffeta ribbon was stretched across the top of dsp and cardstock layers. The dsp used on today’s card is from the summer smooches paper pack, appropriately bright don’t you think?
Layered punched images were attached and then popped with stampin’ dimensionals. The easiest way to remove the protective paper layer from the dimensional is to stick your fingernail directly into the center of the dimensional. This will cause the protective paper layer to curl up along the edges making it easier to remove.
The fancy fan embossing reminds me of chicken wire, LOL… so it too was appropriate for today’s card. I love the scallop design and texture it provides on an otherwise simple card, don’t you?
So… today I’m at a craft show at the local Arlington United Methodist Church… if you’re in the area, I hope you’ll stop by and say hi!
