Welcome to the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Today’s sketch on Created By You features the Affection Collection stamp set from the current Holiday Mini Catalog.
Colors used for today’s challenge include Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Whisper White and Silver Glimmer Paper.
The Silver Glimmer Paper, Very Vanilla and embossed crumb cake card stock was sponged using Crumb Cake ink to give it an old and distressed appearance.
“Love” from the affections collection was inked using cherry cobbler ink, stamped off and then stamped direct to paper (DTP) before inking and stamping the always in cherry cobbler ink. This gave ‘always’ a faded and aged appearance yet it was still visible beneath the always word.
Before embossing cherry cobbler background card stock with the lacy brocade embossing folder, the background was stamped with the small scroll image from the Affection Collection using cherry cobbler ink. Although it’s hard to see in the photo, it gave the background more depth and dimension. I think you can view evidence of that technique a bit more in the first two photos, lol!
Silver glimmer brads were added using the paper piercing essentials and paper piercing tool for perfect placement… and 0
a triple loop bow was tied using linen thread and attached using one small glue dot rolled to a narrow tube.
Next week the Paper Craft Crew is sponsoring a grand opening event that you won’t want to miss! Be sure to stay in touch!
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing a special scrapbook page for the Christmas holidays.. hope you’ll stop by and say hi!
