Flowering Flourishes Faux Metal Corners

After designing yesterday’s 2.5” x 3.5” Artist Trading Card (ATC) I was inspired to use many of the same products and concept on a full sized A2 card.

Today’s Thank You card uses the Flowering Flourishes stamp set from page 121 of the Stampin’ Up! Catalog, along with Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper Stack (DSP), and faux metal corners masked and Gold Dazzle Marker!faux metal corners created using a gold stmapin dazzle marker

Although many of the same card stock colors were used on today’s Flowering Flourishes Faux Metal Corners Thank You, I did abandon the Nature’s Pace stamp set from the original ATC.wild wasabi punched leaves from bird builder punchFlourishes were stamped using Primrose Petals ink, layering the design with a basic black accent.gold metallic brads perfectly positioned and metal accentThe Perfectly Penned “Thank You” was stamped using Gumball Green ink on  Very Vanilla card stock.  Look closely… that’s NOT another layer of card stock beneath the basic black… it’s a painted layer using the Gold Dazzle Marker!

Have you had a chance to use the new Stampin’ Pierce Mat yet?  I love that it’s oversized and fits completely beneath a card!  The 6.5” x 9.5” mat is great for scrapbooking too… and the new piercing templates are fabulous fun.  I have to admit, though I did like the convenience of the smaller mat for quick piercing projects like adding brads to a small piece!align card stock and punch with grid paper for successStamping for success Tip:  After punching a scrap of card stock using a 1-1/4” square punch, the faux metal corner was painted onto basic black card stock using the gold stampin’ dazzle marker…. grid paper was used to evenly align the square and achieve even faux metal corners!

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing two clean and simple (CAS) DSP stamped card variations.  I hope you’ll stop back by to say hi, and look forward to reading your sweet comments!

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you for your online orders!

Hugs,

Sharon
