Have you begun making your Christmas and Holiday cards yet? Summer is the perfect time to get them done! Best of all, the new holiday mini catalog release on August 1st brings all sorts of brand new stamp sets and supplies! Have you received your holiday mini yet? Contact me to have one mailed to you!
Growing up in Michigan, I spent many winters ice skating on a backyard pond! I loved ice skating and every year worried whether there would be enough money to get a new pair of skates for my always growing feet!
The skates image was inked with versa mark ink and stamped onto whisper white card stock before embossing with silver embossing powder and heat tool. The blades of the skate were then colored using the new Silver Stampin’ Dazzle Marker from page 19 of the new holiday mini. The heel of the skate was then colored using a basic gray marker… pretty quick and easy!!!
After cutting a mask using an ovals bigz die (the largest of 3 ovals on the die)… color was sponged lightly just inside the edge of the oval mask using a bashful blue ink pad and stampin’ sponge. I didn’t make a mask for the skates… it was easy enough to avoid inking them by squeezing the sponge wedge tightly and scrub just along the inside of the oval.
A scrap of cherry cobbler seam binding was tied into a pretty double loop bow and attached to the top of the card using three glue dots. LOL since this scrap was in my tray of ribbons, it had become quite crinkled and wrinkled… easy enough to fix by sponging lightly with a water dampened sponge… the ribbon flattens right out.
Warm Winter Wishes, is one of two sentiments included in the Winter Memories stamp set… and here it was inked with versa mark ink and stamped/embossed using silver embossing powder and a heat tool. I love the script or font they used for this greeting don’t you?
Since this is a sneak peek for the August 1st release of the holiday mini catalog, you cannot purchase these products until August 1st… only demonstrators can pre-order sets before the official release date… sorry!!
