Christmas In July–Cute Snowman Card

Christmas In July…. the time when I typically begin hosting Christmas card making classes with friends and customers.  Today’s card share is my first attempt at using the new Stylin’ Snowfolk Stamp Set… hope you like it!stylin snowfolks, snow swirled and more merry messagesLOL… got to have a little bling where there’s snow flakes, don’t you think?  I love the sparkle of a fresh snowfall but sure am glad that we live in Florida during the winter!!fussy cut and pop dot the snow manTo make the snowman, an image from flowering flourishes was inked with white craft ink, stamped first onto white vellum card stock, then glued to whisper white card stock before stamping the stylin’ snowfolk snowman and embossing with clear embossing powder.narrow stitched real red grosgrain ribbon scarfAfter snipping around the image with my paper snips (aka ‘fussy cutting’) the snowman was wrapped with a length of stitched grosgrain ribbon and mounted to the prepared card base using stampin’ dimensionals aka pop dots.silver glimmer paper bling and more merry msgsMore Merry Messages is another new stamp set found in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog… and I LOVE it!  The “Merry Christmas” is so very elegant!!dazzling diamonds and snow swirling blingAfter stamping and sponging the background, a two way glue pen was used to draw swirls of snow onto the background and sprinkled with dazzling diamonds for just a tad more bling.

I hope you have a lovely week, and look forward to reading your comments!

Sharon, this is a beautiful Christmas card. I love the idea of the vellum on white for the snowman. It looks so real.
