Remember way back when the postman would deliver postage due mail? LOL… now they return it to sender… which is probably far more costly than trying to collect a few cents from the delivery addressee!
Today’s Stampin Queens Sketch Challenge NEEDED the postage due stamp set, LOL I wonder how many more of the design team members will be using the same stamp set?It was really perfect for today’s sketch challenge… the bicycle, post mark, flower and script were inked dts (direct to stamp) using the brush end of my stampin’ write markers and then additional color was added using markers and blender pen.The three postage stamps were stamped in midnight muse ink and then punched using a postage stamp punch before mounting atop pumpkin pie card stock per the challenge sketch. The flower was inked/colored using tangerine tango, pumpkin pie and blender pen before adding basic jewel pearl accents. I used the tips of my paper snips and stampin’ pierce mat to make a vertical cut near the left edge of the flower, slipping the gumball green stitched grosgrain knotted ribbon through the slit and around bashful blue card stock to secure. Background flourishes were stamped using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set from page 121 of the new stampin’ up! catalog and gumball green ink, adding a little extra ‘interest’ to to the otherwise plain bashful blue background.
We’d love to have you join us for the stampin’ queens sketch challenge this week! Simply make a card using the basic bones of the sketch above, and then visit the stampin’ queens sketch challenge blog to add your interpretation… you know the drill!
