Two Very Quick Cards–A Busy Day

Time flies when you’re having fun!  Today I’m sharing two very quick cards, LOL mostly because I didn’t find time to stamp yesterday at all!  Yes, I could have made time in between whole house routine computer maintenance tasks… but somehow the day just flew by!

So… for Wednesday, I have two very quick cards… aka Clean and Simple or 5 minute cards, both which I am still re-constructing in my head to revisit with more layers and depth.cas 5 minute polka dot birthday card by sharon field 042512

Twenty four punched whisper white circles on a sea of bashful blue card stock play host to embossed “happy birthday” sentiment.  After adding a grid pattern to the bashful blue card stock with tiny dots of Multipurpose Adhesive, the dots were simply placed atop each adhesive spot.

The card looked a little plain so I went ahead and added knotted Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon to this one layer card.   The punched circles are from the itty bitty shapes punch pack and the sentiment comes from the Bring On The Cake stamp set.  patchwork landscape featuring summer smooches dsp

Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper meets Lovely as a Tree stamp set for a patchwork countryside of sponged trees, clouds, and grass.trim the bottom edge of the cupcake frosting to vary cloud sizes

Clouds punches are from the cupcake builder punch.. after trimming two of them to make them irregularly sized, and then sponged with bashful blue ink.  One cloud was popped up with a stampin’ dimensional dot, the others glued dtp (direct to paper).A Patchwork landscape wtih gently curving hills

The trees were stamped with Old Olive Ink, trunks and branches were colored using the fine tip of a soft suede marker.  Both trees and grass were sponged with lucky limeade and old olive ink before adding the fussy cut patchwork landscape from the Summer Smooches DSP pack.

Marina Mist and Early Espresso cardstock were used to offset the focal image and add a bit more color to this very simple card.

Well, I certainly hope I have a good stamping day today… off to my stamp room!

Hugs,

Sharon
