SQSC33 Paper Doily Die Cut Birthday Card

Two fun birthday stamp sets are put together on one card for today’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge SQSC33.

The card uses two different Designer Paper Stacks:  Regals Collection Pattern, and the Just Add Cake DSP pack as well.SQSC33_Sharon_Field_top note birthday April 4th

Top Note and Paper Doily Die Cuts are joined by 2-1/2” circle punched sentiment and six itty bitty shapes punch pack flowers.paper doily die cut downsized, 2-1/2 inch circle punched birthday sentiment

After stamping the greeting from On Your Birthday using Night Of Quite Navy Ink, it was punched out using a 2-1/2” circle punch, and popped onto the downsized paper doily die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals (aka pop dots).six flowers added to side of top note and topped with pearl jewels

Itty Bitty So Saffron Flowers were added to the side of the top note… I added six equally spaced tiny dots of Multipurpose adhesive and then just placed pearl embellished flowers atop the glue.inside view of top note birthday card features Bring ON the Cake stamped images

Wanting a little more color on today’s card, the top note die cut was backed with a freshly cut Island Indigo Top Note Die Cut.  itty bitty punch pack flower and bring on the cake stamped both on and off card stock

Bring on the cake, stamped in Night of Navy Ink both on and off the very vanilla card stock 3.25” square.sqsc33 bring on the cake and three different greetings

Additional greetings from Bring On the Cake were added to the square before attaching it to the card’s inside.  LOL... I meant to color JUST the 6 in the numbers collage to carry over the six flower theme on the card front… but it looked a little lonely, so I colored the zero too… now I’ll have to find someone having a 60th birthday, LOL!!SQSC33 sketch April 4th 2012 on createdbyu_blogspot

Here’s today’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge SQSC33.  Originally I was going to resize the holes and punch random placement/sizes to make it look like swiss cheese.  My friend Esther did that once, and it was the cutest card!!

Come join in the fun at the Stampin’ Queens Challenge Blog this week… create a card or project featuring the sketch and visit the design team blog to add your URL… you know the drill!

Tomorrow I’ll be sharing the final card from my March Blossom Builders Die Cut and Simply Sent 12 card class.  I hope you’ll stop by to say hi!

Looking forward to reading your comments, and hope you have a lovely spring day!

Hugs,

Sharon

Really cute birthday card! Love the fold of this card, and the various shapes you used in your layering on it really adds a lot of visual interst, and I love those itty bitty flowers marching along the side. And, the stamp sets are perfect together! {Hope you find someone celebrating a 60th birthday - ha/ha.}
