Needles, Buttons and Cards… A New Punch

Many of you know that I’ve sewn and quilted for years… LOL, the first time I picked up a needle I was 4 years old!  Color, fabric and texture captured my imagination at a very early age.

So… a few weeks ago I was wandering through one of our local mega craft stores, and spotted a (new to me) punch with buttons and needles… and thread.  The “button chain” punch was on sale too… I had to have it!

I don’t know what I was thinking… I thought I’d be able to punch the string of buttons and needles and have them align perfectly on a standard A2 card.  Unfortunately, it didn’t work quite the way most edging punches do… but I did make a few quick cards for a quilter friend!

All today’s cards will feature many of the basic supplies listed below along with various "Stampin’ up!” stamp sets and other supplies will be listed below each card for your convenience.

    • Very Vanilla Smooth Card Stock 100630
    • Pool Party Smooth Card Stock 122924

Love your cards! Sometimes it's nice to see non-SU! products - and how they can work right along with SU! stuff.

Sharon I love that edging punch -- I too am a quilter and needle crafter so I'm MUST have it! I'm going to look for it starting right away! I found a beautiful quilt in the Fons and Porters Love of Quilting mag for Jan/Feb, but the kit is a king size and I only need a double and I swear, I cannot find the fabric anywhere! I have written to the regional wholesale supplier for the manufacturer! (I could buy the king size kit but I'd still need backing fabric -- what a mess!)

Since I have only been receiving your posts for abt 4 months Sharon...I have now learnt abt your quilting past. I love those cards...that punch is too cute. I too am guilty of making such purchases. It's amazing the inspiration that a new play toy can give. ooxx
