Saturday’s Simply Sent Card Class

Saturday’s Simply Sent Card Class was a blast!  Not only did we make 12 cards each, but we also had time to lunch on homemade slow roasted chicken salad, light Alouette Cheese with crackers, tiny tea cookies and pomegranate tea!

I usually don’t get to sit down and play along during classes… but Saturday’s class was so easy that I was able to participate and coach as well… what fun!1.Designer_cuts_Wedding_Card_Sharon_Field

This is one of the cards we made, featuring Occasions Mini Catalog products:  Designer Cuts Card and Envelope Sets, Attic Boutique  and Twitterpated Designer Series Paper (DSP) along with Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon.  The sample shown along with the Designer Cuts product on page 9 of the mini catalog, the sample shown features a Valentines’ Card.

Of course Valentines Day has passed… so we made a congratulations card instead!  Wouldn’t this be a sweet card to gift newly weds?Wedding sweet stamped sentiment punched with modern label punch

The sentiment on today’s card was borrowed from the Wedding Sweet Stamp Set which is in the Big Idea Book & Catalog.  Stamped with Baja Breeze Ink, Congratulations was then punched using a Modern Label Punch and mounted on a 3/4” x 2-1/4” piece of card stock.

Rhinestones were also added for just a touch of bling which will be repeated on the cards interior as well, and the sentiment was attached ONLY to the right, solid vanilla card stock on the card using dimensionals!baja breeze pleated satin ribbon and knot of Victoria Lace

A strip of Baja Breeze Pleated Satin Ribbon was tied with Victoria lace and affixed to Attic Boutique DSP… adding just a splash of subtle soft color backed by Baja Breeze card stock.inside of congrats card with double heart punches

A square of Twitterpated DSP was added to the interior of the card, visible through the filigree heart, and two small heart punches were attached to one corner.   The Blushing Bride heart was attached directly to the card, and the baja breeze heart was popped up with a dimensional dot before adding rhinestones to each.

Saturday’s class also featured other simply sent card kits… and the Blossom Die Cuts from the Occasions Mini Catalog as well.  Each attendee went home with a full sheet of die cuts and pink rhinestones.  One lucky winner went home with a fabulous fun product door prize as well!

In the coming weeks I’ll be sharing more of the cards we made in Saturday’s class, I look forward to reading your comments!

See you tomorrow with a new challenge from the Utah Divas International, and we wrap up the month of March!
