Pretty In Pink, Up In the Air Blog Candy

Pretty In Pink, Early Espresso, and Whisper White Card Stock come together today for a pretty simply scored diagonal card featuring labels framelits dies, embossing and the Up In the Air Stamp Set.  LOL appropriate for today’s blog candy give-away, right?1.pretty in pink simply scored accents framelits card

All the blog candy entries were printed out on paper… and tossed into a great big glass jar!   There were multiple entries per person due to people taking advantage of online ordering.. thank you SO much!!!  2.detail_of_simply_Scored_Diagonal_Accents

Have you seen the new diagonal score plate for the simply scored board?  It attaches directly atop the simply scored board, allowing perfect diagonal scoring… great for cards and scrapbook pages, making envelopes and boxes too!3.petals_a-plenty_Embossing_andmarker

The right side of today’s pretty pink card was embossed using the big shot die cutting machine and petals a plenty textured impressions embossing folder.  After embossing, the brush tip of a pretty in pink marker was used to highlight each round ‘dot’ element of the embossing folder.4.up_in_The_Air_Framelits_Die_Cut_Accents_With_Bow

I’m really enjoying the ‘up in the air’ hostess stamp set from the occasions mini catalog!  Can’t go wrong with butterflies and flowers, right?  Three sizes of labels framelits were used to cut out the stamped image, designer series paper, and polka dot embossed early espresso card stock.5.precious_Butterfly_Stamping

Butterflies were stamped on the inside of the card as well… these were borrowed from the Precious Butterflies stamp set, and coordinate quite well with up in the air.6.big_oops_ink_Smear_and_Creative_opportunity

Ink Smear… have you ever had that happen to you?  YUCK!!  In my workshops and classes we refer to this as a creative opportunity.   LOL… and my card was almost complete when I smeared the ink on today’s share!

So.. creative opportunity to the rescue!!6.all_better_now_Butterfly_fix

Two medium butterfly images from the precious butterflies stamp set were added to the card, one directly atop the smear didn’t quite do the job.  To resolve the issue, a scrap of whisper white card stock was stamped with a second image, fussy cut and popped onto the card using a stampin’ dimensional.7.blog_Candy_Post_Up_In_The_Air_Card_Inside_View

Smear… what smear?  LOL… got to think outside the box sometimes!

I know you’re all waiting for the blog candy winner announcement…. but I really had to go to bed last night… in order to get the last few entries in the jar, I’ll have to do it this morning.  Three winners will be announced at noon EDT, so be sure to check back to see if you’re a winner!

AND… still have a few more perfect die cut shim kits available!  Contact me to reserve yours for $7.00 plus s/h!
