First Edition Mixed Bunch For SQSC31

Crumb Cake and Poppy Parade… sure going to miss that color combo in June!  Poppy Parade ink, card stock and accessories are part of the In Color Collection 2010-12.

Today I’ve paired these two colors with the First Edition Specialty Designer Series Papers, added a little embossing, distressing, ribbon and a punchy layered bloom from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set.SQSC31_Sharon_field

The pretty double loop bow was tied on my fingers, I don’t use any other tools… (click the contrast colored words for the full and free tutorial.)

Edges of the Designer Series Paper, and flower were sponged using Crumb Cake Classic Ink too.punched motifs from mixed punch, popped with dimensionals

A crumb cake marker was used to color the center floral motif of the Mixed Bunch flower punch, and sponging was also done along the edges of crumb cake card stock.teeny tiny wishes punch mounted elements popped

Word window and Modern Label Punches were used to cut and highlight the “Thinking of You” sentiment on today’s challenge card before popping it onto the DSP with dimensionals.

A narrow strip of crumb cake card stock was also embossed using the elegant lines textured impressions embossing folder and highlighted using a crumb cake ink covered dauber. triple loop bow attached with mini glue dots is made in the same fashion as a double loop bow.

A pretty triple loop bow accents the lower left edge… created in the same manner as a double loop bow, by simply wrapping a third loop around my fingers before tying off.  The bow was then attached to the card stock base using mini glue dots.profile of today's sqsc 31 card by sharon field

The flower motif is popped below the poppy parade circle, and again below the crumb cake circle… and of course, the sentiment is also popped.  No pearls or jewels though, so this is very mail friendly, LOL…  you could just turn it inside out to mail too!  (I receive cards mailed inside out all the time!)SQSC31_on_Createdbyu_Blogspot

This is today’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge prompt. As you can see, I turned it 90 degrees and moved some of the elements around a bit.  Come play along with the design team this week… use this sketch to create a card, scrapbook page or project and then join us at the stampin’ queens to upload your creation!  You know the drill!
