Welcome back, and Happy Valentines Day to all of you! Today’s Tuesday, so it’s time for the Utah Divas International Color Challenge! This week’s challenge uses THREE different greens (Old Olive, Lucky Limeade, Pear Pizzazz) along with Real Red and Baja Breeze!
My first inclination was to brayer a sunset, then I thought a striped card would be nice… but ultimately, ended up making this card, LOL.. Hope you like it!
The stamp set featured is a Hostess Stamp Set from the Idea Book & Catalog called “Simply Soft” featuring three two-step stamping flowers.
Instead of using the matching two step stamp for coloring my outline floral image, markers were used instead in challenge colors… and adding a little pretty in pink too!
A little texture adds SO much to a simple card don’t you think? The crumb cake card stock was embossed using the finial press textured impressions embossing folder and then sponged using crumb cake classic ink.
Actually, all the card stock and designer series paper layers were sponged using the crumb cake classic ink, giving them an older/vintage and distressed look.
Sale-A-Bration FREE designer brads are paired with an In-Color printed brad along the bottom edge of the card. To make the center brad stand out a bit more, it was backed with a circle punch in Baja Breeze card stock.
This kind of crazy colorful chair was the inspiration for today’s color challenge… reminds me of a parrot or colorful toucan and feathers!
Hope you will play along with the Utah Divas this week… use the colors shown in a paper craft project, then visit the Utah Divas International Blog to upload the URL of your project… you know the drill!
See you tomorrow with a brand new sketch challenge from the Stampin’ Queens!
Have you booked your stampin’ party or catalog book party yet? There’s just got a month and a half left for the great sale-a-bration give-a-way!
