Don’t you just love those cupcake trees… kind of hard to resist if you’re a cake or dessert lover isn’t it? LOL.. cake is one thing I rarely eat. I’d much rather have a gooey fruit cobbler or pie!
Today’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge features a fully loaded cupcake tree image from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set and the Watercolor with Markers Technique.
The cupcake tree was embossed using Black Craft Ink and Clear embossing powder onto watercolor paper.
Then the images were outlined with markers, and the color pulled towards the centers.
Shadows were added with a Sahara Sand marker, and the cherries were colored in with completely with marker.
A pretty Double Loop Bow, tied on my fingers was attached to the bottom edge of the card using three mini glue dots..

The taffeta ribbon lies nice and flat… the bow will look very pretty as long as you don’t pull it too snugly. LOL, when you pull it too snugly it turns into a bunched up knot!

Here’s today’s sketch, hope you’ll play along with the design team! Be sure to check out the Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge Blog for cards by other design team members, then add your sketch based creation too… you know the drill!
Hugs,
Sharon

Beautiful Sharon! I like how you embossed the image before coloring. Something I need to remember to do. It gives the platter a pretty shine and makes the cupcakes pop. Love your double bow as well.
