Welcome to today’s Stampin’ Queens Sketch Challenge!! Always fresh and fun… and today is no exception! Today’s Little Monster Baby image has actually been in my head for a couple months now…. and I finally let it out for this week’s design team sketch challenge!
Using one monster image and eyes from the Make A Monster Stamp Set, I stamped my fun little monster baby on whisper white card stock with Elegant Eggplant Ink, colored it using a wisteria wonder marker and then cut it out.
LOL… I stamped her eyes upside down… and thought oh no, I have to start all over!! But then I realized there was a very easy fix to the dilemma, and added upper eyelashes using an Elegant Eggplant marker! The pacifier is nothing more than a button brad using new twitterpated designer series buttons and a regular whisper white brad.
I didn’t want to cut around the curly little top lock of hair on the monster baby, so I just drew a new one onto the Beau Chateau DSP background with my marker.
- Tiny flowers were added using the itty bitty punch pack and wisteria wonder card stock.
- A Pearl Basic Jewel was then added to the center of each flower.
- Background card stock was embossed using the Houndstooth and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folders and Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.
Wisteria Wonder card stock was embossed with pretty petals, and teeny tiny pearl jewels were added too.
As a finishing touch, congratulations was stamped and layered with punched backgrounds onto the card. Not sure why I put congratulations… LOL, should have written happy 2nd birthday… with the little monster baby on the front… and welcome to the terrible two’s on the inside!!
