Isn’t this great? It was a simple valentine card we made at this week’s 1st Wednesday Card Club using the Elegant Bird Sizzix Die and Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Papers!
Textured Impressions Embossing Folders add a lot of dimension to both bird and lace/button embellished heart. The tiny pinked hearts border punch seemed appr0priate for a Valentine card, don’t you think?
The elegant bird’s eye is a basic jewel rhinestone colored with a black sharpie marker… lol, placed on Baja Breeze card stock, it reflected more of the blue color vs. black and presented a very pretty dark blue hue.
This card has more of a 3-dimensional effect… both wing and heart are popped up on the card surface. Perhaps a little too dimensional for an ordinary USPS mailing envelope… a bit more secure if placed in a bubble envelope or inside the box with a Valentine gift!
Hope you enjoyed today’s club card… we’ll be starting up a new round of card clubs in March… contact me if you’d like to join one or more of my current clubs for the next round!
I look forward to reading your comments!
