Mixed Bunch Sympathy Card, Announcements

Today’s Mixed Bunch Sympathy Card began as an Occasions Mini Catalog Card Sample CASE (Copy And Share Everything)… but it took a turn, LOL as things generally do in my stamping studio, and became a card design of it’s own!

The original intention was to CASE  the card shown with the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set on Page 17 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.  You can click the mini catalog link in my side bar to view the original card.  Instead, I made three versions of a mixed bunch and blossom punch card to share with you today!1.First_versionCatalogCase_SharonField

The background card stock color was changed to Very Vanilla… and scored at 1/4” and 1/2” along all card front edges, but that’s when this card took on a life of it’s own… or rather three different manifestations of the original design, which I’ll share with you in progression!2.v2_mixed_Bunch_Still_Room_FOr_improvement Although the original card had very clean and simple lines, it seemed to need a pop of color… so I added pear pizzazz pleated satin ribbon… pretty cool, but…3.v3_sharon_Field_Mixed_Bunch_popOFColor

Then I added embossed oval punched ‘leaves’ and the card finally felt complete!4.layered_blossom_punhc

The center of the mixed bunch blossom punch was glued directly to Peach Parfait Stamped card stock, and dimensional dots were placed around the center.. not in the center of the blossom.  This forced the petals upward and separated them from the base blossom punch and stamped image.5.blossom_Punch_mixed_bunch_bottom_Layer

Another blossom image from the mixed bunch stamp set was stamped on the layer below, and then sponged to make it stand out a bit more.6_sympathy_petitepairs_oval_embossing

I hadn’t used the designer frames duo textured impressions embossing folders in a while, and felt the central panel needed something ‘extra’… so the oval and wide oval punched sympathy message worked well as a central focal image and sentiment.7.three-quarter_inch-circle-punched_blossom

Just for fun, an additional blossom from the Mixed Bunch stamp set, punched with a 3/4” circle punch was attached to the left of the greeting.  A tiny pearl adorns the center.
