Paper Doily Occasions Mini Sneak Peek 1

There are so many fun new products in the new Occasions Mini Catalog!!   That created a huge dilemma… which one should be opened and used first??

Short lived dilemma, the Paper Doily Large Sizzlit Die surfaced to the top of the list quickly.  Since the Brushed Gold Card Stock is a bit thicker than normal card stock, three shims were placed beneath the die before running it through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  Two shims may have been enough as there was quite a bit of resistance as the die rolled through the Big Shot machine.1.paper_doily_large_Sizzlit_sneak_Createdbyu_blogspot

Sizzlit Dies don’t work with chip board or fabric as the other dies do… and I would love to have this doily design in a Bigz Die too, so intricate and pretty!2.close up of large paper doily sizzlit die cut

Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon was threaded through the die cut holes in the Paper Doily Die, a pretty Antique Brad was added to the center, and tiny basic jewel rhinestones were added just inside the laced ribbon.3.bow and brad details

The ribbon was tied in a pretty bow, and brads were added to the embossed and shimmered background.4.gold embossed sentiment before dry embossing background

Embossing of the gold sentiment was done before doing the dry embossing of the background Naturals Ivory Card Stock.  Crumb Cake Classic Ink was added along the edges of the embossed card stock, and champagne shimmer mist was sprayed atop the embossed card stock.

Today’s card is so much prettier in person than I can possibly show you in photos… LOL, isn’t that the way it always goes?

like the way you've threaded the ribbon thru the die cut! Love the shimmer, too.
