I LOVE Polka Dots! Polka Dot Designer Series Papers, Ribbon, Embossing Folders, Fabric, and clothing too! Why… not too sure I have an answer for that, LOL.
Today’s Joy Christmas card share was inspired by a polka dot piece of Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), and yesterday’s Lace Rosette and Stapled Ribbon Tutorial. Hope you like it!
The holly leaves are actually from the Stocking Builders Accent Die, and cut with my Big Shot Machine. Rhinestone “berries” were colored with a red sharpie marker, and “Joy” is die cut from a retired “Join in the Cheer” Sizzlit Decorative Strip.
After scoring the holly leave die cuts on my Simply Scored board, the crease, edges, and surface were sponged with a sponge dauber inked with old olive classic ink. The leaves were then attached to the Newsprint DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Of course… you probably recognize the stapled ribbon from yesterday’s tutorial…
And the lovely lace rosette with an antique brad embellished center.
The only things ‘popped’ on today’s card were the leaves and rosette… otherwise, a few layers, but a very flat profile.
With Christmas just around the corner, this year we’re trying to simplify our holiday… the tree is up, a couple wreaths inside and out, and cookies have been made. LOL… Christmas cards have been made, but still haven’t been mailed… maybe tomorrow! Don’t sweat the small stuff, right?
