CAS 5 Minute Color Challenge Card–UDI

CAS – “Clean and Simple”, literally a “5 minute card”… Sunday was a very busy day!  I finished writing and editing three tutorials, helped one of my customers make 71 cards, and then realized I had to get some design team work done… It was already 9:45pm…YIKES!!

So… off to my stamp room I went, and whipped out two of three design team commitments.  Both were cut, stamped assembled and photographed in just under 15 minutes, leaving only uploading, editing and submitting for my evening task list!

Today’s Utah Divas International Color Challenge features the colors Wisteria Wonder, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, and Blushing Bride Classic Inks all in one card.Sharon_Field_UDI58, creative_elements, UDI Color challenge, createdbyuAll stamped images on this card are from the Creative Elements Stamp Set.photo2_rhinestones and blushing bride creative elementsThe background was stamped using Blushing Bride Classic Ink… and then edges and Very Vanilla Card Stock surface were sponged with the same ink.  Aren’t those rhinestones sparkly?  They were added to upper right and lower left corners.Butterfly with rhinestones and creative elements photo3Next, the blossom was stamped with Calypso Coral Classic Ink, and then butterfly with Rich Razzleberry.  Couldn’t resist adding another rhinestone or two to the butterfly bodies!photo4_create_popped_Sentiment_udi_Color challenge sharon fieldI stamped “Create” with Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink DTP (direct to paper) on the front of the card but it looked really, really flat… so opted to stamp the frame on a scrap, add create, sponge, and fussy cut/pop onto my card.photo 5 on createdbyu rhinestone embellishmed sentimentI added tiny rhinestones to the popped sentiment, and the card still looked a little blah… so then decided to add the Wisteria Wonder knotted ruffled ribbon along the upper left corner.UDI058_SharonField Challenge card photo 6 on createdbyu

Not too bad for a REALLY quick card, what do you think?

Here’s the inspiration piece for today’s challenge…udi_058_Oct18_on_Createdbyu_BlogspotCome play along with the design team this week!  There is no sketch, just color… and you know the drill!

I want to say thanks to everyone who left a lovely comment during the Stampin’ Addicts Blog Tour last weekend!  The blog tour went off without a glitch, and all the projects were amazing!!

The creative elements set is fantastic! How soft and real looking the flowers are. Of course the butterflies are always something "I need". Have fun in Utah!
