CS46S Technicolor Eiffel Tower

It was a momentary flash of inspiration… I looked at the sketch for today’s Creative-Sketches Design Team, and then at the Eiffel Tower from the Artistic Inspirations Stamp Set.

Suddenly the early pop art work of Andy Warhol, the “Prince of Pop” flashed in my mind.  LOL… not the Andy Warhol Cambell Soup Cans, but more like the technicolor-color repetitive images* and cars* in the 50’s and 60’s, with bright colors that question your fashion sense.

* “10 Marilyn’s” and “300 SL Coupe” are just two of the pop art pieces which inspired today’s card.

Dusted off my “top note” die, and turned the sketch 90 degrees, using bright and bold colors for today’s sketch.

One of the details in today’s sketch showed a stamped image travelling across several layers.  Here I’ve lined up the image on three layers with the help of a stamp-ma-jig and then stamped the image in Island Indigo Classic Ink.  To make the image (from Creative Elements) stand out better, it was then colored in using a white gel pen.

That same white gel pen was also used to add a unifying element along each vertical edge of the Island Indigo card stock.

Lots of brushed gold brads, and layered Modern Label with Word Window Punches complete today’s sketch card with a greeting borrowed from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set.

This is today’s sketch.  How do you think I did?  LOL, had to add a few layers to tie in my color palette, but even the sketch itself is pretty don’t you think?

I hope you’ll play along with today’s Creative-Sketches Design Team Challenge CS46S!
