CAS, Masculine and Textural: Give Thanks

“Well Penned” is an elegant new script stamp set of four greetings, found in the Holiday Mini Catalog 2011.   Today I’ve combined the stamp set with the a lovely maple leaf from the Autumn Splendor stamp set.CAS, masculine, texture, well penned, holiday mini, autumn splendor, herringbone, square lattice, technique junkies, splitcoast stampers, sharon_field, createdbyu_blogspotAlthough basically a CAS card, there’s still a lot going on… with designer series paper (DSP) from the Frost wood Lodge paper selection, complimented by Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card stock. CAS, masculine, texture, well penned, holiday mini, autumn splendor, herringbone, square lattice, technique junkies, splitcoast stampers, sharon_field, createdbyu_blogspotStamped with Early Espresso Classic Ink, the “Give Thanks” sentiment is one of two focal image on today’s Clean and Simple (CAS) Masculine card. CAS, masculine, texture, well penned, holiday mini, autumn splendor, herringbone, square lattice, technique junkies, splitcoast stampers, sharon_field, createdbyu_blogspot

The other is a colorful maple leaf, colored using selective Marker Thumping, Rock ‘n Roll, and sponging techniques.

Who would have known that this particular leaf was stamped onto Whisper White card stock?  To finish it off, a fine layer of Shimmer Mist was also sprayed onto the stamped leaf surface… it really glistens and glows!CAS, masculine, texture, well penned, holiday mini, autumn splendor, herringbone, square lattice, technique junkies, splitcoast stampers, sharon_field, createdbyu_blogspot

Two Textured Impressions Embossing Folders were used too… Square Lattice, and Herringbone, adding texture without a whole lot of extra weight and/or layers.

As a finishing touch, Early Espresso Brads from the Neutrals Brads package were added, leaving one space between each one brad (one space using the Mat Pack and Paper Piercing Tool). CAS, masculine, texture, well penned, holiday mini, autumn splendor, herringbone, square lattice, technique junkies, splitcoast stampers, sharon_field, createdbyu_blogspotAnother low profile card, the sentiment “Give Thanks” and leaf are popped using Stampin’ Dimensionals, everything else is glued direct to paper (DTP).

For more information on the techniques used to make the leaf, visit Splitcoast Stampers and/or Technique Junkies Online.
