A Sunday Break for Two Challenges

Had a little free late this morning, something that doesn’t happen very often… so took a minute to visit a couple challenge sites.  I have found challenges are often a great way to jump start my creativity… and I really needed a jump start today!

So, I quickly made this card… well, not really too quickly, since there are a lot of layers on my card, LOL.

And it’s within the parameters for not one, but two challenges!

The Creative Inspirations Blog a challenge123 this week is to use only Yellow and White in a card, and The Sunny Challenges Blog also has a sketch and theme challenge “Friends 24/7” #SC002.  LOL… “sunny” challenges… I thought this card was plenty bright and sunny and made it for a friend who really loves yellow.   Here’s there sketch:

The Sunny Challenges Blog is a new Aussie blog, they really could use some participants each week (blatant plug Smile)

Here are a couple more views of my challenge card… hope you like it!

I added 5/8” satin ribbon, and a pretty Double Loop Bow, tied on my fingers.

Combined a border stamp from the “Creative Elements” stamp set with “Thinking of You” from the “Sincere Salutations” stamp set.  “Creative Elements” is also one of the “So Shelli” favorite stamp sets, depicted with a small heart when you view the set in the catalog!

Another image from the “Creative Elements” stamp set, this pretty lacy butterfly framed with scalloped oval Daffodil Delight trim and a few basic pearl jewels to make it stand out a bit.
