Elizabeth… And LOTS of Dots!

Do you ever just sit at your stamp table and doodle?  I don’t often… but one day, while contemplating just WHAT to do with the graceful and elegant “Elizabeth” stamp, I mindlessly turned to doodling with dots… lots, and lots of dots!

You’ll understand better when you see today’s card share, LOL not one I would do in a stamp camp, club or workshop setting!  Be sure to check out upcoming classes, club meetings and stamp camps by checking my Classes and Events Tab at the top of this page!  I promise I won’t make you dot!

Elizabeth is sold on page 20 of the Idea Book & Catalog, is a single, wood mount stamp (#117120 / $9.95) and is available in my Online Stampin’ Up! Store!

Elizabeth, Teeny_tiny_wishes, doodles, markers, Idea_Book_and_Catalog, Sharon_field, Createdbyu_blogspot, online_stampin_up_store, classes_and_EventsLOL, the background is NOT Designer Series Paper (DSP) or a large format background stamp… it’s simply dotted using a certainly celery Stampin’ Write Marker!Elizabeth, Teeny_tiny_wishes, doodles, markers, Idea_Book_and_Catalog, Sharon_field, Createdbyu_blogspot, online_stampin_up_store, classes_and_EventsAt one point, I realized that it was time to “step away from that card” and feathered out the dot density as I got away from the Elizabeth Stamped Focal Image.Elizabeth, Teeny_tiny_wishes, doodles, markers, Idea_Book_and_Catalog, Sharon_field, Createdbyu_blogspot, online_stampin_up_store, classes_and_EventsI think you can see the dot frequency decrease in this photo.  Elizabeth was stamped with Soft Suede Classic Ink.Elizabeth, Teeny_tiny_wishes, doodles, markers, Idea_Book_and_Catalog, Sharon_field, Createdbyu_blogspot, online_stampin_up_store, classes_and_EventsAfter coloring the Elizabeth focal image with Certainly Celery and Peach Parfait Stampin’ Write Markers,  “With Sympathy” was stamped using Early Espresso Classic Ink in the otherwise void center. Elizabeth, Teeny_tiny_wishes, doodles, markers, Idea_Book_and_Catalog, Sharon_field, Createdbyu_blogspot, online_stampin_up_store, classes_and_EventsAnd the whole thing was finished off with a Double Loop Bow, tied on my fingers!Elizabeth, Teeny_tiny_wishes, doodles, markers, Idea_Book_and_Catalog, Sharon_field, Createdbyu_blogspot, online_stampin_up_store, classes_and_EventsI think the dotting added a lot to an otherwise plain card, don’t you?  It was quite a mindless activity… I could just keep dotting while contemplating other projects, color challenges, and swaps!

Try dotting around your focal image some time… you may want to start with a smaller void space or card stock piece though!

Tomorrow I’ve got a new Super Saturday Tutorial, and it is a fancy fold gift card holder!  Hope you’ll stop back by to say hi!

What patience! It turned out beautifully and I think feathering the dots toward the outside makes Elizabeth stand out even more.
