Cards for Seniors and Mocha Morning DSP

Cards for Seniors… I visit two local Senior centers monthly and we make some pretty lovely cards.  I enjoy teaching, and sharing stamping and stories as we spend an hour coloring and visiting.

Today I’m sharing the cards we made this week during two of my senior center visits here in Jacksonville, Florida.

The first card was actually inspired by one received earlier this week from demonstrator Elin Kovash.  Her one layer card with a designer label punch window was too cute!  My Senior Stampers have been asking for Christmas cards… so the Ornament Punch Vase was stamped with the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set in Real Red Classic Ink.

Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a basic jewel rhinestone to the center medallion!  Love sparkle with Christmas, don’t you?

The floral image was colored with Certainly Celery and So Saffron Stampin’ Write Markers (tax free through August 14th!).

And of course, the designer label punched window greeting is visible both inside and outside the card!

Kindness Matters… what a sweet and affordable stamp set!  I’ve used three of the images on my card’s center medallion motif.  We all had great fun coloring our butterflies with stampin’ write markers too!

Kind of funny… everyone colored their butterflies differently using the so saffron, pumpkin pie, and early espresso markers.. and each card was just as pretty as the next!

LOL… I decided ‘after the fact’ to add brads to the upper right corner of the Mocha Morning Designer Series Paper (DSP)… Not wanting to tear apart card stock layers, I opted instead to cut their little legs off… attaching with mini glue dots instead!

In classes, we did it the right way, using a mat pack and paper piercing tool.  And everyone loved the elegance of the Mocha Morning DSP too!

Layers on this card included elegant Brushed Gold Card Stock along with Early Espresso Card Stock, all coordinating well with the elegant Mocha Morning DSP.

Just two more days to take advantage of the Florida Tax Holiday!!  Markers,  adhesives and a few other items may be purchased tax free from my online stampin’ up store!  You can read the details about the Florida Tax Holiday HERE.

Second, I’ll be offering a new BLOG Candy prize too!

I look forward to reading your comments!  Stay healthy, and keep on stamping!

Love your cards! Your ladies are little more skilled than mine. I will have to see if I can modify the ideas for them.

I loved making these in Seniors' class. I wish we had been able to stamp the 'vase' like this one, though. It's beautiful! And I love the 2nd one a lot, too!

those are both really pretty! Love the 2nd one especially. Great way to use all 3 for a bigger focal piece.
