The Wrong UDI Card… Natures Pace

Tuesday’s Utah Divas International Color Challenge Card was a re-make.  LOL, I had spent a full day just knocking out challenges for that group… but when I went to write the post, realized that one of the challenge colors was missing!  I promised to share the original card today… so here we go!

Whisper White and Basic Black… with a pop of color, I really loved how this card came out, hope you do too!

New Products, Natures Pace, Designer Frames, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, Big Shot, Created By You, Sharon Field, Createdbyu, Blogspot, muscial score, embossing, herringbone

Lots going on here… three textured embossing folders, two which are new to the idea book & catalog!

New Product Alert:  Designer Frames Textured Embossing Folder Set, which includes the lovely oval shown above, and a pretty rectangle shape too!  The Oval frame nests perfectly with our Wide Oval Punch…here I’ve popped up the sentiment from Natures’ Pace with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  (Before you ask… yes, I did hand-cut the outer edges of the frame!)

The rectangular frame around grapes image from Natures’ Pace was created by using a square punch to remove the center from a Whisper White rectangle, and then embossed with the new Herringbone Textured Embossing Folder.  After popping it onto the water colored focal image, Basic Jewel Pearls were added along right and left edges of the frame.

Along the left edge of the card, I’ve layered Whisper White Organza Ribbon with another new product:   Lace Ribbon Border Punch!  Along the bottom edge of the card, the musical score from the new Natures’ Pace Stamp Set!  LOL.. I’d been hoping for a musical score background stamp, and recently purchased the Music Notes Wheel just before the new catalog came out!

And of course, topped it off with a lovely double loop bow tied on my fingers… and in honor of my friend Ruth, made sure it had ‘proper tails’ too!

For those who follow along… the original UDI challenge needed ONE more color, Tempting Turquoise.  After contemplating tearing apart this card to make a swift re-do, I decided to leave it as is… I don’t know where I would have put Tempting Turquoise on this card!!  You can see the original UDI color challenge card HERE.

Stunning card! Love those folders and will need to add them to my wish list. Can't believe I missed them in the catalog.
