White on White Christmas WOW!

White on White, Vellum Card Stock, texture and a little bling… perfect for a Christmas card, don’t you think?  Today’s card was actually inspired by the card I featured mid-June, I thought the basic design would make a fabulous Christmas Card too!  You can view the original wedding card here, for comparison.

This is actually one of the six cards we made in Saturday’s Christmas Card Class, all with multiple layers, texture and little extras (brads, ribbon, rhinestones, etcetera.)

White on White, WOW, Christmas, Sharon Field, Embossing, Northern Flurry, Createdbyu, SUO, Jacksonville, Fl.

Whisper White and Vellum Card Stock, along with punched elements, ribbon, and bling.  My stampers really loved this card!

The center snowflake medallion is composed of a 2-1/2” square of Whisper White Card Stock which was embossed at 1/8” along all four sides. After embossing a 2” square of Vellum Card Stock with the Northern Flurry Textured Embossing Folder, it was attached to the Whisper White Card Stock using Multipurpose Adhesive. The adhesive was placed beneath the area where the snowflake would go… and tiny dots were also added to embossed valleys and dimples on the back of the Embossed Vellum Card Stock.

A Snowflake punch, and two triple doily punches were combined to make the snowflake on the medallion. The top most triple doily is the one on the first setting, and cut from Vellum Card Stock. The middle punch, also a triple doily (#3) has no holes and was cut from Whisper White Card Stock, topped with a 2-way glue pen, and Dazzling Diamonds.

A silver glitter brad piercing the center of the snowflake trio, and four tiny basic jewel Rhinestones complete the snowflake medallion which was then popped with a dimensional onto the vellum/card stock base.White on White, WOW, Christmas, Sharon Field, Embossing, Northern Flurry, Createdbyu, SUO, Jacksonville, Fl

Before attaching the Lace Ribbon Border Punch to embossed Vellum Card Stock, Whisper White Organza was attached with snail adhesive.  The edges of the combo were then folded around the edge to the back of the embossed vellum layer.

After playing around with a double loop bow, I opted instead for a simpler Organza knot, which was attached with mini glue dots.  I wanted something smaller and delicate for the sentiment on the front of this WOW Christmas Card… but most of the greetings that would fit were already in use on the other 5 cards for this class. So…. that said, I opted to use a greeting from a retired stamp set (Angelic Joy.)

The greeting was stamped in Basic Gray Classic Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock and punched with the Modern Label punch.  After attaching the sentiment to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and a tiny basic jewel rhinestone was added to the left of the greeting too.

This WOW card has a lot of depth and texture, but it’s not too fat for mailing, LOL… the Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals dots are only 3/8” thick, much thinner than most available on the market!

Hope you enjoyed today’s White on White (WOW) Christmas Card… I look forward to reading your comments!  If you live in the Jacksonville, Florida vicinity and would like to take a stamp class, check out my classes and events tab at the top of this page!

Tomorrow’s post will feature one more layered Christmas Card which we made in Saturday’s Christmas Card Class.  Hope you’ll stop back by!

Hugs,

Sharon
