Christmas In July with Easy Events

Today’s card share may be my very favorite yet!  Featuring new Idea Book & Catalog Stamp Set “Easy Events” along with the new Perfect Pennants Bigz L Sizzix Die!  In traditional red and green colors, this card also went together quite quickly.  It will be one of the cards we will be making in next weekend’s Christmas Card Class.Perfect Pennants, Big Shot, Bigz L Die, Die, Easy Events, Idea Book & Catalog, Christmas, Holiday, Cards, In Color

Papers:  New In-Color Designer Series Paper in Lucky Limeade, along with Very Vanilla, Real Red, and Lucky Limeade Card Stock.

The Very Vanilla background was embossed with Vintage Wallpaper Textured Embossing Folder using the Big Shot Machine.Perfect Pennants, Big Shot, Bigz L Die, Die, Easy Events, Idea Book & Catalog, Christmas, Holiday, Cards, In Color

The scallop dies from Perfect Pennants nest well together.  The open scallop edges of the two shapes will line up perfectly, but I decided to offset them a bit and allow the Real Red Card Stock to show through the tiny openings.

The Christmas image from Easy Events was stamped with Garden Green Classic Ink, and then colored in with Real Red and Lucky Limeade Stampin’ Write Markers, leaving a definitive outline around the leaves.

And here’s something really cool.. the open scallop border punch almost matches the border of the nested scallop shape from the Perfect Pennants die… isn’t that cool?Perfect Pennants, Big Shot, Bigz L Die, Die, Easy Events, Idea Book & Catalog, Christmas, Holiday, Cards, In Color

Chantilly Lace and narrow taffeta finished off the card, adding a little touch of vintage.  The layered ribbon was attached to the first three layers, and then additional pieces of ribbon and lace were tied to the front of the card.

I’m looking forward to playing around with the perfect pennants die… I can already see lots of possibilities, and love the nested scallops!

See you tomorrow with another Christmas Card camp sneak peek, I’m looking forward to reading your comments too!

Hugs,

Sharon

I LOVE THE SIMPLE CLEAN LOOK WITH THE NEW COLORS. THE DIE CUTS ARE GORGEOUS AND I ALWAYS LOVE YOUR LAYERS OF LACE, RIBBONS ETC. YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO SIMPLE EVEN THOUGH WITH ALL OF THE LAYERS, I KNOW IT'S TIME CONSUMING. THANK YOU FOR YOUR BEAUTIFUL CARDS AND BLOG.
