Now, on to today’s card duo!
This is the second card I made with this fabulous new stamp set and punch. I like it much better than the first one, LOL!
New Chocolate Chip Scalloped Ribbon was folded in half and attached across the top of pennant punched banner letters and accented with basic pearl jewels.
Just Add Cake Designer Series Papers (DSP) along with Calypso Coral, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White card stock really make the images POP! Coordinating card stock and ink colors were used to stamp images from Pennant Parade, Jayne’s Alphabet and Happy Greetings (mini catalog) Stamp Sets.
I love adding depth and dimension with basic pearl jewels (and they’re quite a bargain buy too, LOL)! It’s so easy to add just a little bit “extra” with these self adhesive jewels!
This card has plenty of dimension too.. both stamped/punched pennants and alphabet letters were popped off the card base with the help of tiny and thin stampin’ dimensionals.
Here’s the first card I made.. not too happy with the results, guess it’s ok though… what do you think?
So.. what do you get when you mix yellow and blue? Stamping letters with new in-color Indigo Island Classic Ink onto So Saffron DSP… well, duh.. they turned green! LOL… I do like the color though!
Love the rustic look of Jayne’s Alphabet, along with the patterned design… great for distressed projects and I just don’t use it enough!
Sneaked in a retired word stamp on this card… Really Retro was a really fun stamp set which I just couldn’t part with!
The new lace border punch is such fun to work with…. adding pizzazz without adding ribbon or too much depth to a card. I tried punching DSP with the punch, and it turned out lovely too, but you need to back it with a sheet of copy paper to get a nice DSP punched border.
“Friend” yields from the “You’re A Gem” Stamp set… featured in an earlier mini catalog but now on page 156 of the new Idea Book & Catalog!
Well, I’ve pulled all my retired stamp sets and am busy this evening at the annual Evangel Temple Fire Works And Craft Fair on Jacksonville’s west side. Tomorrow I’ll be working on new and fresh cards for the First Wednesday Card Club… we’ll have a lovely lunch, and afterwards they’ll get to purchase retired stamp sets at heavily discounted prices. Contact Me by Tuesday 12Noon EDT for more information or if you’d like to attend!
Come back tomorrow and I’ll be sharing two more new card designs featuring this same stamp and punch set!
