SFF0527 Sugar Coated Flower Fest

Not REAL sugar, LOL… but Dazzling Diamonds instead!  But the Blossom Punched leaves and stamped/punched flower image do look like they’ve been coated with sugar!

Today’s Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch focuses on simplicity, and was created by team member Melinda Couden.  Of course, I like to glam it up a bit… so added some dimension and layers!

SFF052711 Flower Fest, Big Shot, Punches, Dazzling Diamonds, Sharon Field, Created by YouThe Blossom punched leaves were run through a big shot machine using the Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder, and then dazzled to give them a sugar coated appearance.  SFF0527, Big Shot, Textured Embossing Folder, Flower Fest, Sharon Field, Created By You, Online ShoppingThe blossom image was stamped with Not Quite Navy Classic ink, and then using the brush end of a Stampin’ Write Marker, a little Bashful Blue color was added to each petal before it, too was dazzled.SFF0527, Big Shot, Textured Embossing Folder, Flower Fest, Sharon Field, Created By You, Online Shopping

Both leaves and flower were attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  After attaching a ribbon around the card front layers, a double loop bow was attached with three Mini Glue Dots.  I like to use three dots to secure the ribbon so that the loops of the ribbon do not move after being attached to the card.

LOVE the Mini Library Clips!  It’s always amazes me how something so small can add so much to a sentiment and/or card!

Having all that bling working on the card, I decided to bling the Beyond the Garden Designer Series Paper too… with a two way glue pen and of course, more Dazzling Diamonds!

Here’s Melinda’s sketch for today’s challenge…

This is dazzling! I will using this idea with this set as I love the stamped flower with lighter marker traced inside.
