UDI 30… You’re On My Mind!

Gosh, I have been so remiss… I needed to send out so many thank you and belated birthday cards.. who would have thought!  So, you’re ALL on my mind.. many of whom will be receiving cards this week, thanking for orders, attending my events, and of course birthdays!

Today’s Utah Divas International color Challenge UDI30 was fun to do… I brushed off my Upsy Daisy Stamp Set, and pulled a sheet of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack.. adding a little Very Vanilla Craft Ink helped the images stand out a bit more… well, what do you think?

The Finial Press Textured Embossing along the bottom of the card was also highlighted with a sponge Dauber and Very Vanilla Craft Ink, making the pattern stand out a bit.

Faux stitching was created with a mat pack, paper piercing tool, and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker.  The mat pack is also great to use for perfectly placed brads!

Hope you like today’s color challenge card… here’s the inspiration piece:

Hope you’ll play along with us… create a scrapbook page, card, 3d item or whatever your heart desires featuring the challenge colors, and then visit the Utah Divas International Design Team Blog to upload your art.  We look forward to seeing your creations!

Pretty color combo and design. Beautiful faux stitching...looks so real. I drink too much coffee and don't get the straight lines like you do! LOL!

Good luck getting your cards done. I get behind sometimes too. This card would be a good one to stash away and leave the sentiment off for times when you need something.

Beautiful card. Love the way you highlighted the embossing with ink. Also, never thought to used a marker on faux stitching before! Thank you for sharing all your tips and techniques.
