Sketch Frenzy Friday Notably Stamped

This week’s Sketch Frenzy Friday inspiration comes from a sketch by Design Team member Robbie Rubala.  I think it would lend itself well to acrylic block stamping, don’t you?

But, that’s not what I did with this week’s sketch LOL!  Instead, I decided to do a Valentine Card with a little different style.  I used a combination of stamp sets, the faux stitching technique, and changed the proportions of the sketch a bit…

The ruched ribbon along the bottom of the card was done with mini glue dots, placing them appx. 1/8” apart, and then laying the ribbon atop of the mini glue dots.

I love, love, love antique brads… and here they flank the focal image from the Clearly For You Stamp Set.  Don’t they look nice in the Notably Ornate Stamp Set frame?  The frame is great for journaling, turning it 90 degrees made a nice frame too!

After stamping and coloring in the Crane image from the Clearly For You stamp set, I found myself wanting an oval acrylic piece to place on top of the punched image… but decided against adding the extra bulk to this card.

The Sketch Frenzy Friday Design Team operates like a mini blog hop… and the next stop along the tour path is Tammy Baldwin’s creative site.  I’m sure she’ll have something fun to share!
