A few Shares from the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference

Getting to the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference in Nashville, TN. was a bit of a challenge this year!  We left Jacksonville, Florida at 9am on Tuesday morning, heading north for snow and ice.  Just after crossing the border to Georgia, my DH called to warn of poor weather and highway conditions in Atlanta.

After consulting the maps, we decided to take and alternate route which would eventually take us through Birmingham, Alabama and finally to Nashville.  Although we hit a bit of snow and ice on the roadways, it was nothing compared to that which Atlanta residents were experiencing!  Normally a 9 to 9.5 hour trip… it took us 12 hours to reach our destination!

The detour was quite scenic… barns, cows, a few goats here and there… and of course a little snow.  But it was nothing compared to what we awoke to the following morning!  The dusting of snow was just enough to make the roads a bit hazardous… so we waited until mid morning to venture out!HelloFromNashvilleTN For those who were stranded at airports and/or forced to turn around and go back home… I’m sorry you’re not here, but hope to see you at the next event!  To my demo friends in Tallahassee… I collected most of your goodies yesterday, and will pick up your make’n take packets later this evening!

Of course one of the exciting things about leadership is connecting with old friends and new!  I always look forward to seeing friend and fellow blogger Rosemarie Diehl! She is so cute, tiny, and petite!

And of course, I always enjoy hanging out with the crazy Mexican, my good friend Yvonne Metz. Some of you may have met Yvonne last year when she visited me in Jacksonville, Fl.  We had a great time stamping and then there was our time with Tim McGraw… how fun!

Yvonne_MetzWhat would any Stampin’ Up! event be without friends, swapping… and of course Shelli Gardner, company CEO??  Shelli did a terrific set of make ‘n takes on stage in the main ballroom!

2swapping 1generalsessionswappingThe day was filled with prize patrols, swapping, and announcements from Stampin’ Up!   Details of new compensation plans, were being announced throughout the day.  If you’re a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, be sure to log into the demonstrator only site or Stampin’ Connection for details… all I can say (and am allowed to say) is WOW!

Today will be another fun filled day… we won’t get back until very late, but I’ll try to update with shots of the boards, onstage presentation and more!
