Sketch Frenzy Friday SFF100810 Pumpkin!

Big OOPS!!  Totally neglected to schedule this post.. and it’s really a very fun stamped card based on the Sketch Frenzy Friday Team Design for the week!  Here’s the simple and sweet sketch… designed by team member Brenda Taylor.  I hope you’ll visit the team blog and play along with us this week!

And here’s my card for today’s sketch challenge… and a card I made with my senior stamping groups this month, they really enjoyed the very simple coloring technique used on this card!  The stamped images are from the Autumn Harvest and Sincere Salutations Stamp Sets.

BEFORE stamping, we used a sponge dauber and old olive ink to add some green to the lower right corner and along the bottom of the very vanilla cardstock.  Leaves were then stamped with early espresso classic ink in a random pattern over the top of the green ink.

On a separate piece of very vanilla cardstock, we stamped the pumpkin with early espresso classic ink and used a sponge dauber and tangerine tango classic ink to sponge color onto the pumpkin in a circular motion…. leaving it a little lighter in the center added a natural highlight to the pumpkin.  After cutting out the image with paper snips, the stem of the pumpkin was colored with the old olive sponge dauber (or an old olive stampin write marker).

Love the autumn spice designer series paper!  The textured paper is suitable for box and bag making as well… very sturdy.  The rich fall colors are lots of fun, and perfect for cards and scrapbook pages as well!

Next stop on the Sketch Frenzy Friday mini blog hop and design tour is: Tammy Baldwin… be sure to stop by and give her a big hello!
