Card Club Projects for July 2010

Hi there… did you enjoy yesterday’s Credit Card Holder tutorial?  I had a lot of requests for the tutorial, so I hope you have enjoyed it!  I’ll be sure to add it to my tutorial page this week… and you’ll simply be able to click on the tutorial tab at the top of the page to find it again, along with the rest of the free tutorials here on Created by You!

Last week, and on the first Wednesday monthly, a very friendly group of Stampin Up fans meet for lunch, stamping, friendship, and a wonderful dessert!  We always have such a good time visiting and catching up, creating cards, and of course eating!  This month, we made two card projects, and lunched on a delicious chicken and fruit salad, home made pound cake and fresh strawberries.. what’s not to love??

Black and Vanilla is so popular now, and the Newsprint Designer Series Paper from Stampin Up was the perfect beginning to a great card!  This is the first card we made… and we even decorated the inside of the card to match!  Wouldn’t this make the perfect Over the Hill card?

Isn’t it fun?  the candles were crimped diagonally to look just like swirly candles on a birthday cake.  Do you recognize the candle flame?  It’s the wing from the large Bird and Branch punch!  After outlining the Daffodil Delight punched wing with a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker, the two layers were glued together and then popped up with a stampin’ dimensional.. pretty cool, huh?  But wait there’s more!!  Here’s the inside of the card too!

Isn’t that fun?

I told you we made two cards… here is the second one, featuring Greenhouse Gala Designer Series Paper and the Friends Never Fade Stamp Set from Stampin Up.

Greenhouse Gala Created By You Card for Club

I’m really loving the new Marina Mist Card Stock and marker!  The image from Friends Never fade was inked with stampin write markers in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Marina Mist.. direct to stamp with the brush tip end of the stampin write marker.
