Nature Collage.. A Card for Guys!

The Natures Silhouettes stamp set I featured in yesterday’s post, also has a wonderfully and stately buck or deer stamp image.  In this card, I have embossed the image on top of the collage stamped canvas… a little reprieve from the tedious masking technique (can you imagine cutting out those antlers LOL?)  Anyway, another Masculine Card just in time for Fathers’ Day… just a few days away!

SO many stamp sets used in this collage… Sense of Time, Charming, Lovely As A Tree, Sanded, En Francais, and (of course) Natures Silhouettes.  The bottom edge of the card was daubered with old olive classic ink… and of course, I stamped the buck in Versa Mark Ink followed by Chocolate Chip Classic Ink, covered with Clear EP and heated.

Just had to add the butterflies.. the tiny ones from the Charming stamp set seemed proportionately appropriate to the scale of the card.

This is a fun and quick technique card you can use in your Stampin Up! workshops to showcase both the embossing and layered collage techniques.  Lots of stamps.. lots of implied layers but just implied.. how fun is that?

Hope you enjoyed this guy’s card… or masculine card today, I’ll have more to share … so stay tuned!

I really love your masculine cards, especially this one! The butterflies are a great addition! Love the brighter colors...still masculine looking, but very cheery!

The cards that most of the men picked out from the cards I sent to my daughter's unit in Iraq weren't entirely masculine looking. They loved the addition of ribbons & birds, butterflies & insects like the dragonflies.
