Masculine Cards… Just in Time!

One of my card making meetup groups recently asked for masculine card projects.  Accommodating as usual, I spent a whole day designing masculine cards to share with them, and you!

Looking through my current stamp collection for appropriate masculine stamps to use when making the cards,  I realized I have to purchase some guy stamps when the new Idea Book & Catalog is officially released on August 1st! (Now, that’s a shocker, isn’t it??  LOL).

Anyway, today’s card shares feature the realistic turtle from the “Natures Nest” stamp set, and the “Sanded” large format background stamp too!

The card (above) also uses the “Sense of Time” stamp set, Not Quite Navy, Crumb Cake (aka Kraft) and Very Vanilla cardstock.  Both turtle and greeting were stamped with Soft Suede Classic ink.

A less complicated version… featuring the retiring “Theatre” Ribbon Originalz and card stock in Very Vanilla, Old Olive, and Not Quite Navy Card Stock.  An aqua painter and Stampin’ Write markers were used to color this handsome turtle, and place a splash of color beneath his toes too.

“Happy Father’s Day” is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set… packed with lots of greetings, a real ‘bang for your buck’.  Got to love that new textured impressions embossing folder, a must have for a masculine card!  Have you ordered your Square Lattice Textured Embossing Folder yet?  It can be found on page 24 of the Summer Mini Catalog!

Hugs, and hope you’ll stop by again tomorrow!

Masculine cards are so difficult. These are perfect. Love the turtle image.

Oh, I love turtles!! These are great designs for masculine cards. I'd also like to see some cards with turtles not so masculine with more color!
