Bugs ‘N Kisses…Fun cards for Kids!

Trying to come up with some fun cards for summer, I was immediately drawn to the Bugs ‘N Kisses rubber stamp set!  As it sat there on the table in my stamping studio, thoughts of summer picnics and bug parades came to mind… and this card was born!

The picnic table ‘cloth’ is a pin-weave of narrow grosgrain Real Red and Whisper White ribbon.  After removing one long selvage edge the ribbon, I removed the long fibers and created a fringe for the pin-weave mat of the picnic tablecloth.  After mounting on a piece of Basic Black Cardstock, the only thing left was to stamp the invited guest for the picnic, and create a snipped grassy edge for the finished card!

Next card, again using the Bugs ‘N Kisses rubber stamp set… but this time the dragonfly image is suspended in a bright blue sky.

Using white craft ink and clear embossing powder, the clouds were embossed and then both dragonfly image and clouds were enhanced using a paint brush and white shimmer paint for a fun, glimmer appearance.

Hope you liked today’s cards.. and will leave a comment.  See you tomorrow with some very special butterfly cards!
