Take 2… Taking a simple card from plain to Wow!

Sometimes we all have kind of an “off” day, don’t we?  Sometimes that occurs when we haven’t allowed ourselves to play at our craft, work, or job.  Other times, it can be due to illness or lack of energy.  Whatever the reason, how about re-addressing the blahs, and re-creating them with more of a wow factor?  I’ll call it “Take 2”… taking the first version and remaking it into more of a Wow.

Here’s the first card I made the other day…  I thought the clean and simple lines would be enough to carry the masculine design of the card.  The stamping/embossing was neat and clear, no sloppy and messy stray embossing powder boo boos… But the card definitely needed something more.. I decided to ‘sleep’ on it and try to find a way to step it up a notch.

The edges of the whisper white cardstock were dragged through our soft suede classic ink pad, and then we used the Stampin’ Up! Distressing tool to distress the edges of both the Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock.  What a difference such a subtle change can make to a simple card!

Yesterday, I posted a lovely RAK from Celeste DuBose… but I forgot to share her website (oops).. want to make sure stop by her site:  KRAFTYCARDS and say hello, she’s got a lot of talent to share!

Have a great day, and stay warm!
