Faux Stitched Posies… two cards

Remember a few years back when Mary Englebright Posies were all the rage?  They were fresh and fun, whimsical and new… a bright and colorful escape from tradition, weren’t they?

These are two cards make in the Mary Englebright tradition.. layers of  bright fun colors and simple design.  I’ve used the Sizzix buttons #5 Die & Modern Label die, Large Bird and Branch and Modern Label punch, Newsprint Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Dimensionals, the Faux Stitching Technique and the  Because I Care stamp set in both samples.  There are subtle differences between the two cards.. see if you can pick them out!

Card #1 –

Additional Supplies:  Cardstock-  Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Very Vanilla  and Basic Black Narrow Grosgrain Ribbon

Did you like that card?  It’s kind of fresh and fun… simple and easy to create.  Here’s a re-make of the same card, where I’ve eliminated the basic black cardstock, added bitty buttons and linen thread, and some tearing.

Card #2

Isn’t it amazing how the same card can look so different?  Hope you liked them!

See you tomorrow with some more samples featuring the Friends Never Fade Stamp set… have you ordered your new Idea Book & Catalog yet?
