Another Faux Silk Card and CASE

This card was created using the "Flower Fancy" stamp set and the Faux Silk technique with a twist... Here I've stamped the flowers on tissue with certainly celery, and then turned it over and painted the flowers and leaves... I wanted my image to appear like water colored silk... so I squeezed the classic ink pad until ink stuck to the inside (top) of the lid and then 'picked' up the ink and painted in my flowers and leaves with the aquapainter, which is on special this month!

Stamps:  Cute & Curly, Flower Fancy

Card Stock:  Naturals White, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery

Other:  Curly Label Punch, Pink gingham ribbon, Certainly Celery narrow grosgrain, Regal Rose and Certainly Celery Classic Inks, dimensional dots, tombow glue, sponge brush

IMG_3504-002  This quick and cute card is a CASE of Patty Bennett.. (View her BLOG) with a couple changes, and it was also the inspiration for the faux silk card shown above.

Stamps:  Eastern Blooms, A Little Birthday Cheer

Card Stock:  Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Whisper White

Classic Ink:  Old Olive, Tangerine Tango

Other:  Filigree Brads, 1/2" circle punch (the color behind the brad), and 5/8" old olive grosgrain ribbon, dimensional dots

Isn't it amazing how much difference a little texture can make?
