Another Cute Gift Bag

Have you ever tried the split negative technique?  Look closely at the cute gift card attached to this bag... it's done using the new Ronald McDonald House Stamp Set Say it With Scallops which United Parcel Service (UPS) donated to every demonstrator in attendance during the last day of our 2008 20th anniversary convention!  What a great stamp set!  AND... it coordinates exactly with our new scallop square punch (another got-to-have item).

ronmcbag_dspThe split negative technique is very simple to do... you simply stamp an image on cardstock in one color (pumpkin pie)... and then after cleaning on your stampin' scrub, stamp it in a second color on a fresh piece of cardstock.  Using my paper trimmer, I cut the image between the flowers and hi!, reassembled the two pieces onto a cardstock fold over... and magic!  Split Negative 'technique'.

On this bag, I've added summer picnic designer series paper, bashful blue cardstock with a scallop edge punch trim at the top... and a fresh and flat pumpkin  pie grosgrain bow.  Our ribbon is one of the best bargains around... 15 yards for $4.95 in colors matching our cardstock and inks.  My daughter is going to WANT this bag to carry her lunch to work!  (Perhaps when she hosts a workshop for me, she can make her own! :)
