My AC Moore Papercrafting class for February

Last weekend, I spent several hours at AC Moore facilitating a free cardmaking day. I met l0ts of wonderful stampers, scrapbookers, as well as newbies. It was a fun day!

Generally my classes are divided into the first sessions: Papercrafting, and the second sessions: Scrapbooking. The papercrafting session is generally held during the first or second week of the month, the scrapbooking session, the third or fourth week. I will soon be adding Saturday classes again.. watch for them at AC Moore, ask at the register too!

I'm going to show you a sneak preview of some of the projects we will be making in February. This first one is a Pretty in Pink and Basic Grey Card featuring grey velvet ribbon and the "Always" stamp set. A tiny crystal brad adorns the center of the embossed pink heart.

Most often when I do a Papercrafting class at AC Moore, I try to bring more than just cards... we will do bags, candy holders, and an assortment of 'projects' as well as cards. Sometimes the cards involve new techniques, sometimes they are a bit more complex. Next month, however, we will be doing a strictly cards workshop with a Valentines Day focus. We will be making four cards during the workshop, focusing on wet embossing, and layering. The first three cards are quite simple as many who have signed up are fairly new to stamping.. the fourth is just a little bit more involved... but still easy to make. I'm delivering the samples to the store this evening, as well as your supply lists.. so make sure you sign up!

This second card focuses on a more masculine Valentines card. The beautiful asian inspired branch from the "Embrace Life" stamp set, sahara sand and black cardstock yield just the right touch. Add some ribbon, a few brads, a touch of color.. and we have a very special card!

This is kind of fun.. inspired by my children when they were younger, a "Color Me" Card which features the "a Happy Heart" stamp set. No.. the image is not colored in (although it could be).. it was intentionally left blank so that the recipient can color the card! The inside is just as fun too.. wait until you see that! Cardstock: Soft Sky, Buckaroo Blue, Whisper White. Can't you see a pink elephant in the middle? Or would you rather color him grey? What color is YOUR elephant?
