Sharing Holiday Swaps from the Orlando Regionals

As I stated before, half of the swaps I received had no author's name! I'm quite shocked and amazed that people would go thru all the trouble of creating beautiful artwork and NOT sign their work!! But, putting all that aside.. here are some swaps I received which the artists DID sign.. So.. I will share some of the SIGNED work, so that I can properly give the creator(s) credit due!

This first card was one of the last swaps I received, and everyone in my group was truly impressed with it! The simple combination of soft sky and whisper white cardstock along with well chosen stamps and embellishments was created by Tina Ravel of Boynton Beach, Florida. The picture doesn't begin to do this card justice.. Dazzling Diamonds sparkle and glow on the flowers adorning the main image of this card. Multiple stamps used in the background add so much depth and dimension.. It's truly a winner, and one of my favorite of all swaps received!

Here's another swap which I received late in the day.. Another stunning card, using the new 2007 in-colors, textured cardstock, zig painty, and elasticized silver cording. The artist who shared this card was Ouida Gordin from Winter Springs, FL. I don't know if you can tell it, but she has added texture to the background by stamping the snow flurries in versamark. The little snow flurries ornaments just sparkle in the foreground.. dangling from elastic cording. What a fresh, fun, and creative card!

This next card had us all commenting "why didin't I think of that??" This swap was received from Vikki Beck (city unknown). She even was kind enough to include the 'recipe' for this card on the back! Utilizing resist technique, glossy cardstock, 'itty bitty backgrounds' and 'lovely as a tree', this card is so well done that it had us all ooohing and aaaaahing!

This stunning card was swapped by Lorraine Jackman of Dade City, FL. Another show stopper.. it uses the faux diamonds technique (with hologram highlights vs. diamonds). This is another stunning card in person, it just sparkles and shines, you can easily imagine the candle flickering and glowing. The silver on silver stamping is such a nice touch too!

This simple nugget box was by Lisa Cross of Ocala, Florida. It uses the punch pals set, elastic cording and is a cute gift for coworkers and or friends.. Isn't the little penguin cute?? Makes ME want to buy this set right NOW!!
