Soft Sky and Three for You Tag Punch Box

Still playin' with all the new In Colors and stamp sets from the Preview catalog.. challenging myself to make cute and quick cards for a change.. not so easy for me, since I prefer to reinvent the wheel!

This is another QUICK card I made today.. using Soft Sky Ink and CS, Whisper White CS, White grosgrain ribbon. The "ribbon along the side of the card is a piece of CS woven in and out of the stamped cardstock. I decided to add it after card was assembled.. in retrospect, the parallel cuts to weave the paper would have been much easier to do had then been cut first!.. next time! This is such a pretty new In-Color paper from Stampin' Up! The new tag punch set has perfectly spaced words.. so when I punched the flower motifs, the words fit perfectly under each of the blossom cut-outs! The flat bow was featured in an earlier post.. it was just that little touch this simple and quick card needed! How fun!

This card uses small and odd sized scraps.. which is something we all seem to have a lot of. If you're looking for another way to use your scraps.. Check out a really cute and brightly colored graduation card by fellow card creator and blogger Jill Radke on her new blog:

Happy Stampin'
