Fun n' Flat.. bow embellishment

This is a fun and flat way to add a bow to your cards or scrapbook pages!

Begin by punchint two holes in your cardstock.. side by side (a cropadile works great for this!).

Next, cut a ribbon approximately two times the width you want the finalized bow... Then..

Thread your ribbon thru the first hole from the BACK side of the card.. use your stylus to push the ribbon thru the hole if necessary (thanks, Janet!).

Staying on the back side of the cardstock, thread the same ribbon end back down thru the second hole (back to front) on the card.....

And back thru the other hole (front to back). Using the other end of the ribbon, thread it thru the opposite hole (again, back to front).

Fluff.. pull the center 'knot' up, trim the ribbon edges and.. Oooh.. isn't that fun!

Here is a finished card using the 'flat n' fun' bow.. unfortunately, it doesn't photograph well on the certainly celery cardstock (ivory ribbon)!

Stamps Used: Artfully Asian
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Rose Red, Very Vanilla
Inks/Markers: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Rose Red
Miscellaneous punch too!

Thanks so much for sharing. I never would have thought that something so simple as punching 2 holes could make so nice a bow.
